Ethan approaches Faith but she blows him off.

"Like I'm supposed to just disappear so you can hang out with that big, dumb jock Nick."

Nick arrives and informs Ethan of his academic record before taking Faith out to lunch and leaving Ethan on his own.

Laurie tells David and Jennie that she wants to put the club on the map by inviting the band Powerline to perform. David opposes this as Powerline are a stadium band but Laurie insists that is a good thing as they are the hottest thing in music. David continues to point out that they don't have the facilities or the staff. Jennie backs David up.

"I disagree." Laurie says.
"You always do." Jennie snaps back.

Laurie tells them her decision is final before leaving. Jennie walks off in the opposite direction and David says to himself, "Come to America! Work for the Williams family! I must have been out of my bloody mind."

Jack is furious that Gwen gave away 200 acres of land in Santa Barbara to the coastal commission. Richard would have been livid.

"I told Richard then and I'm telling you now, developing that acrage is not in the best interests of the company."
"This was my decision to make Gwen!"

She follows him into his office and asks what this is really about.

"It's about how personally you took the fact that I was innocently hugging Heather."
"Oh please! Isn't it enough that I live across the street?" Gwen says she is disgusted at what is going on in Richard's house. It is like a brothel and Jack is sitting ring side. Jack retorts that she is childish.
"What happened Gwen? What happened between us?"
"I'll tell you what happened! She's 5'2, eyes of blue and sleeping in what used to be my bed!" Gwen storms out.

It is night as Samantha greets her grandfather and brings Peter in. Mr Sanchez met him when he was a boy and Peter turned a hose on him. Peter reassures Mr Sanchez that he has grown up since then. Samantha leaves to take the bags and Mr Sanchez demands they sleep in separate bedrooms.

When Samantha has gone, Mr Sanchez tells Peter that he knows the Williams family history and there is no way he is right for Samantha.

"Then I guess my job is to change your mind."
"You won't. If I have my way, you won't even survive this visit."
