Mr Sanchez is upset that Samantha is going back to Los Angeles but she says her place is with Peter and assures her grandfather that she would love Peter if he were penniless. Mr Sanchez accepts that he has been unfair and gives Samantha his reluctant blessing to be with Peter.

The huge crowd is chanting for Powerline and David takes the stage informing them that Powerline will not be appearing. A furious riot begins and some fans storm the stage. A bottle is thrown and nearly hits Jennie but she just smiles, pleased with herself.

Heather is having another nightmare and waking up, she goes down to Jack's study. She says she knows he is in love with Gwen and that Jack slept with her last night but she guesses Gwen thought it was a mistake. A drunken Peter appears and tells Heather romance is dead.

"Here, here!" Jack responds.

Peter tells Heather that if she ever tires of Chandler or Jack, to come to his bedroom. "I'm just like a battery. Heather-ready."

Upstairs, Peter enters his bedroom and finds Maureen there. She came because she doesn't want him to face his pain alone. Pushing onto the bed, she turns on some music and starts to strip but when she goes back to Peter, she finds him asleep.

Peter wakes up and Maureen tells him not to worry. They didn't make love. She says she is interested in getting to know him better but suddenly Samantha knocks on the door. Peter tells Maureen the deal is back on and slapping her behind, he makes her leave by the back stairs. Samantha comes in and says she wants to marry him no matter what anybody thinks...even her grandfather. Peter pushes her down on the bed to make love and quickly pockets one of Maureen's earrings.
