Peter tells Mr Sanchez he would like to ask for Samantha's hand in marriage. Mr Sanchez says Peter is the wrong man for his grand daughter. Peter throws his brandy glass into the fire and goes to the bedroom to pack when Samantha enters. She says Mr Sanchez is just a very prooud man but she believes in his values. If Peter leaves, she can't promise they have a future. As Peter walks out, he tells Samantha their future is over.

In his study, Jack offers Gwen a drink but she asks why he called her over so late. He says she is afraid of them being together and grabbing her, he kisses her passionately. She admits she has feelings for him.

The next morning, Gwen is rushing around Jack's bedroom and tells him what they did was impulsive.

"It was fantastic!"

She is worried that Ethan and the children might find out but Jack tells her not to worry.

"Are you kidding? In this house? My children are like scandal sniffing dogs!"

Suddenly there is a knock on the door and Jack answers it as Gwen hides in the bathroom. It is Heather. She wants opinions on a photo shoot for Dress2K and seeing the mess she walks in. Picking up Jack's tie, she smells Chanel and gets suspicious. He pushes her out of the room and Gwen comes back in. She says what they did was a mistake and leaves via the back stairs.

Downstairs, Peter asks Edward to get him a bloody mary. But Edward says Peter's personal trainer Mandy is waiting in the sauna.

Peter goes to the sauna and finds Maureen waiting for him.

"Well, this confirms my suspicions."
"What, that I'm a natural blonde?"
"No, that blackmailers are just like alley cats. Feed them and they always come back for more."

Maureen admits she wants more money but Peter tells her to find another meal ticket because he and Samantha have broken up. Maureen moves in to seduce him but he pushes her away and she thinks he is still hung up on Sam.

On the school steps, Ethan pulls Faith away from Nick and asks what happened to the girl with the passion and sense of adventure. Faith makes Nick leave and decides to get back together with Ethan.
